Lifeline College Ministries is crafted to foster intellectual discussion of Biblical truth, create space to develop vulnerable relationships, and empower individuals to personalize their faith in Christian community. If you are post-high school, in college, or in your early 20s, then Lifeline is the place to get connected.
"Lifeline gives us a way to interact and connect with other college students with similar goals and ideas. In intentionally creating community with other students, we are choosing to grow closer to each other, and more importantly, grow closer to Christ."
Offering a range of opportunities and activities, Lifeline College Ministries provides a ride to church from IWU’s Carmin Circle at 9:30 am on Sunday morning. Sandwiched between Sunday morning worship gatherings, Lifeline’s Sunday School Class begins with breakfast and worship through music, followed by a thought-provoking exploration of God’s Word applied in our current context.
Lifeline College Ministries is also integrated into the rest of church life at Brookhaven. Through Beyond the Dorm, college students have an opportunity to connect with families in the church and be “adopted” while at school. Additionally, by integrating into additional adult Sunday School Classes and Life Groups, as well as serving with the Food Pantry, Youth Group and Children's Ministries, college students have ample opportunity to get involved in community life at BWC.
During the fall before the snow flies, Campfires and Pudgie Pies gather a collegiate crowd at the Hochstetler home on Sunday evenings after the Horizon Venue service. Here, simple ingredients, bread, butter, and hot coals combine to make a variety of favorite Pudgie Pie flavors, including pizza, chili dog, and caramel apple. The conversations held around the campfire help build deep friendships between students and sponsors.
Lifeline hospitality goes one step further for Second Sunday Lunch, providing a meal for college students, as well as adoptive families, to connect and eat once a month for a meal after morning church. Lifeline College Ministry at Brookhaven Wesleyan Church works diligently to get students connected to the life of the Church. Come join us!
